Sharing greatness every day

Recognising the potential in everyone

We wake up and drag ourselves into the formality of occurrence called life.

Everybody is running after the conventional, established and already that is proven.

And nobody is interested in something that has the potential to be great.

It requires courage to recognise the greatness of a crystal not yet carved into a diamond.

It requires an investment of time to walk with the person with potential, through his journey towards his aim.

It needs self-reflection to recognise our very own greatness.

It needs an eye for the beauty which is unborn.

To recognise this greatness is also to recognise your greatness and share it with the world.

As we only see in the world what we are. The world is a mere reflection of ourselves.

But we live in a false notion that greatness is picture-perfect.

An image that is constantly bombarded on us about what it means to be great.

To have certain belongings, to have a standing in society and to have something that everybody wants and rarely needs.

Very few take time.

To pause for a while and inspect what is it that we are doing on this planet.

What do we have that can be shared with the world?

What is it that can be shared as much as the world needs and yet we are never out of it?

∗ ∗ ∗

It’s an enquiry into the unknown.

To know the world you have to know yourself.

It is more about the journey you take inward rather than outward.

What makes you great – Makes the world great too.

Is it the family? Is the job that you do?

Or what you announce to have achieved and denounce what you don’t stand for?

As a human, we have this inherent need to solve the mysteries.

Who am I? What is Life? and What is purpose of the life?

The story of our life is the story of the journey to try and find the answers.

The story is unresolved. As there are no absolute answers to this question.

And yet we strive to find them and spend our life doing so.

What part do you play in the world, and does it add or subtract from your greatness?

∗ ∗ ∗

The leader inspires leadership in others. Greatness inspires greatness in others.

But what is it that we call great?

A courageous adventure? Like jumping off an aeroplane, or going on a ship to find a new land like Columbus.

Not exactly. Columbus destroyed the land he put his foot on. He changed the things for worse and the damage he has done is irreversible.

A land that he wasn’t even sure what is called, and he called it India. Thank god it was not real India.

Do you call that a success?

To find absolute success is like targeting the moving target.

Even if you hit, the target changes.

That is how the mind works. It is never satisfied.

It finds the answer and moves on to another question.

There are so many discoveries scientists have made that were challenged when science advanced.

When they would find bigger and better problems to solve.

Then what does greatness mean?

∗ ∗ ∗

Everybody is great.

Greatness belongs to everybody who walks the earth.

Either they have found it or have yet to find it out. But it resides in you.

If a piece of music touches you and a teardrop rolls from your eyes, you are great.

If you find the flower beautiful and pause for a while to appreciate its beauty, you are great.

Greatness allows people to be themselves and let people be what they are.

It does not object, it accepts.

And there is no affirming and rejecting in the acceptance.

It accepts the situation and people managing to live in the situation as they are.

Greatness is not about disrupting the course of change.

But everything is about accepting the change and doing nothing about it.

Just being watchful and aware is great.

∗ ∗ ∗

Breathe and find greatness there.

You might take a great voyage in the ocean or retreat into the Himalayas.

You won’t be able to skip yourself. Your mind and your being.

You will have to live with yourself.

There is no option you see. Life is where you are, not where you think you are.

And to find yourself as you are is the greatest journey you can take.

As greatness is not an invention of greatness, doing supplementary instant gratification.

Greatness is a discovery – discovering what you already have.

And o you can find right now, right where you are, right in this very moment.

Give up on everything else.

∗ ∗ ∗

Give up on the expectation that others will call you great.

The notion that greatness is something demanded is false.

It is living in an aspiration that is never going to be fulfilled.

People who would call you great out of fear will hate you in your absence.

The great one is, is great; regardless of what people call him or have perceptions about him.

Give up Give up Give up.

Give up on the journey that you take to find greatness in the books scripture and the temples in the mountains.

What you will find there you will also find it here.

As the nature of your greatness is omnipresent.

When you give up being someone, you are great.

Shedding the skin of identities and sitting naked without the clothes of conditioning take more courage than risking life itself.

Real courage and greatness lie in embracing death before you die.

Die to the borrowed aspirations of greatness, and die to the borrowed silence of the quiet place.

Once you find the silence within, you become the silence.

The silence that is shared in silence.

∗ ∗ ∗

Word will fail to express what it means to be great.

Being everything and everyone while disappearing at the same time is great.

No one left to sing the saga of own greatness, no one left to impose anything on anyone is great.

Just be. And you are doing your part to share your greatness with the world.

Be there to empathise with what the world is going through.

To see the potential of it to find the greatness within.

A reminder to remind the world of its own greatness.

You are great if the world around you is great. Because then you would have done your part, you would have played your role.

Merely by not participating, interfering and taking away what belongs to the world, your greatness shines by just being there to see and to lend your shoulders for others.

It is not an obligation. But an urge to share what you have.

∗ ∗ ∗

The world is incomplete without you until you have served your time here.

Many people suffer the symptoms of living someone else’s life.

When you find what your life is to be lived for, you no longer live someone else’s life, but you live in service to fulfil your role in the circle of life.

You are the missing part, the world is incomplete without you.

To humbly accept it and graciously give what you are asked of its greatness.

No one wants anything from you.

What everybody needs is to be themselves.

Without labels of Nationality, Religion, Cast and Creed on the forehead.

You are great as you are.

Accepting yourself as you are and others for what they are is great.
