There is much going around in the world of Couture everyday, every hour, Everywhere. But there's one thing that never ceases to surprise me about Couture. The Shock value it provides to its audience.

There can be debate about what is good and what is bad. To be frank, there is no such thing as good and bad in couture, it all depends on personal test and choice.

This is common ground where couture and art meet each other. Luxury in a way borrows much from art. The nuance, creativity and boldness. It has an element of surprise, hence keeps on changing time to time.

This artistic nature of couture pushed it to the edge of courage. To say things differently and bear the criticism that comes with it.

There is a point to be noted about criticism though. When I sit to write and read about any form of Art there are people who write from a very personal judgmental point of view. I rarely encounter criticism in my mind when I look at a piece of Art or Luxury.

I speak from a place of appreciation and value it offers from the heart to be unapologetically different, unique and bold. Although this is my world view of couture, and might differ from person to person. I am open to those views. In fact it adds to the beauty of celebration of individuality. 

Instead of criticism an appreciative approach is required to understand it as an Art and not merely an object of utility.
