Humans are the only animals who are not only self aware but also aware of how they are seen in society. In fact it’s a trait we carry in our DNA. To lift our stature and image in the eyes of others. Many would disagree with this statement saying,’we don’t care how people see us’ . Carelessness is also a kind of awareness about how the self image is received  by other people. It’s an alternate choice.

Having said so, Fashion is a medium of self expression that enhances the message we want to convey about our personality. More than words fashion is an immediate way of conveying a wide range of emotions like Confidence, Joy, Vulnerability. Moreover, signs of Power, Authority are often used to boost the image of a leader or character in a film. There are multiple ways to convey one single personality trait with fashion. For example, every bond has different shapes, stitches and contours incorporated in the clothes. Sometime more relaxed look like Pierce Brosnan and more mean edge look to the most recent Daniel Craig.

Said so, Fashion is not limited to leadership or Power. It also has a strong association with empowerment. For instance, a right sized bra can make a huge difference in the life of a woman. Right coloured clothes can send the right message from the enabler of a community. Fashion enables representation. Of self and the community we belong and lead. Moreover, it brings in an opportunity to highlight our message to the world.

To conclude, Fashion is more than a trend or mere wearing clothes. We have left the norms and crude generalisation way behind as a society. We have built something more complex on top of how we dress. To convey a message, as a tool of self expression. We don’t wear clothes , we wear identity, values and emotions.
